Alpha Alpha Collegiate Chapter
of Mu Phi Epsilon
at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music
Mu Phi Epsilon is an International,
Professional Music Fraternity which was
founded by Dr. Winthrop S. Sterling
and Elizabeth Mathias Fuqua on
November 13, 1903, at the Metropolitan
College of Music, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Alpha Alpha was installed in 1955 with the merger of the Upsilon Chapter at
the Conservatory of Music and the Mu Omicron
Chapter at the College of Music, when the two institutions merged to become
the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
Cincinnati was the home of the 2003 Centennial Celebration of Mu Phi Epsilon.
The purpose of Mu Phi
Epsilon the advancement of music in America and throughout the
world, the promotion of musicianship
and scholarship, loyalty to the Alma
Mater, and the development of a true
bond of friendship.
The Fraternity is composed of Collegiate
Chapters, Alumni Chapters and Allied Members.
Alpha Alpha welcomes music
majors and minors of the University of Cincinnati to membership.
